FIFA 23 will get an update by EA, namely the World Cup mode for free on November 9, 2022, in order to welcome the world cup.

From this mode, there will be teams from 32 countries participating in the tournament to provide an authentic in-game experience.

The World Cup mode for FIFA 23 will be available for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC versions, but, unfortunately, FIFA 23 Legacy Edition on Switch will not get this update.

Instead, Switch owners will be left with the standard version of the game. FIFA Mobile players, on the other hand, will jump a day early on November 8.

FIFA 23 players will play as one of the 32 eligible countries of the upcoming World Cup, and the entire tournament will be playable.

Furthermore, players will be able to customize the tournament as they see fit, meaning they can change groups and replace certain teams that didn’t make it to the finals.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup update will also have an Online Tournament Mode which will allow players to choose a country and battle through the Knockout Stages to win the tournament.

In addition from 21 November – 18 December, there is a FIFA World Cup: Live feature which will be a live experience that will be updated throughout the group stages and actual knockouts of real-life World Cup tournaments.

From here you will see the number of scores achieved and the team qualified or not, which will be updated every game while they are in the tournament.

If the outcome of the match is not what gamers expect, gamers will also have the opportunity to rewrite history and guide a team of gamers to victory.

FIFA World Cup 23 is another way to gain experience from the tournament, and will let gamers choose a country and choose a starting point anywhere in the World Cup.

Once a tournament has started the line-up, match statistics and standings will reflect the actual tournament, and provide an authentic single player experience.

In the mode, there will also be outfits according to the team, the stadium used, the match ball, additional player head scans, the iconic cup and two stadiums including the venue for the Final. FIFA World Cup commentary, visuals and cinematics will also be part of the FIFA 23 World Cup package.

FIFA Ultimate Team will also get in on the fashion fun with the World Cup Path to Glory event which will run from November 11-23 2022 and will feature 30 unique World Cup Heroes, presented in special 2022 World Cup themed cards.

FIFA 23 is now available on all PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X platforms. World Cup Mode will release on November 9, 2022, but will not be available on Nintendo Switch.
