The Witcher Remake Will Use Unreal Engine 5

The Witcher Remake was rebuilt from the ground up using Unreal Engine 5. This news was conveyed by publisher CD Projekt Red via their official Twitter account.

The latest development of The Witcher using Unreal Engine 5 is led by Polish studio, Fool’s Theory. They consist of veteran staff of The Witcher series.

Development of the 2007 dark fantasy RPG will continue to be overseen by CD Projekt Red in terms of the creative process to expand the universe over the next few years.

CD Projekt Red plans to present five game new, as revealed earlier this month. Including the code Canis Majoris, which refers to The Witcher.

“We want to do it right. Please be patient as it will take some time until we share more details,” said CD Projekt Red.

CD Projekt Red previously faced backlash due to the hasty launch of Cyberpunk 2077, which led to a sales draw on PS4.

Game The original The Witcher was released 15 years ago on October 26, starring the brutish monster hunter Geralt of Rivia, who is searching for his memories.

Based on the fantasy book series by Andrzej Sapkowski, game it introduces three cameras, including display over-the-shoulder which is rare in RPGs.

“The Witcher is where it all started for us, CD Projekt Red,” said studio head Adam Badowski in a blog post. Gadgets360.

Earlier this month, CD Projekt Red announced four new titles in the The Witcher series. The plans include a new trilogy project codenamed Polaris.

There is also a Sirius code that focuses on multiplayer online and Canis Majoris, which is now confirmed as a redevelopment of The Witcher.

CD Projekt Red also has plans to expand the world dystopian future of Cyberpunk 2077 by introducing a sequel codenamed Orion.
