Telkomsel Again Holds Dunia Games League 2022 Esports Tournament
Telkomsel again presents Indonesia’s biggest annual esports tournament in the 2022 Dunia Games League. For this year’s edition, the Dunia Games League is competing against the popular game Free Fire as the main game.
Telkomsel has opened the registration for the Dunia Games League to the public from August 25 to October 9, 2022 through the dgl.duniagames.co.id page.
This year’s Dunia Games League is being held for the fourth time, where this esports tournament has been held consecutively since 2019, 2020, and 2021.
The Dunia Games League 2022 tournament will take place online every weekend from the end of September to the end of October 2022, for the preliminary rounds of Qualifier Stage, Group Stage, and Play-Ins, as well as offline for the best 12 team matches in the Grand Final at Basketball Hall. Since 2017, Dunia Games has consistently held various tournaments, such as the Indonesia Games Championship, Dunia Games League, DGWIB Championship, DGWIB Regular Season, and high-level tournaments. grassroot which is held in more than 120 clusters throughout Indonesia.
The Dunia Games League itself has been held for the fourth time this year. This tournament was first held in 2019, and then regularly held every year.
During the three events from 2019 to 2021, the total cumulative participation record has reached more than 69.4 thousand gamers and more than 46 million views over the last three years.
This year, the Dunia Games League competes with the popular game Free Fire as the main game. Registration for the Qualifier Stage is open to 6,000 non-professional players from all over Indonesia since August 25, 2022.

As for professional players, the Dunia Games League specifically invites 18 teams to participate through the Group Stage. In the Qualifier Stage and Group Stage, the Dunia Games League continues the four best teams per Area from the Qualifier Stage and the two best teams from the Group Stage to compete in the Grand Final round.
Up to 18 best teams that did not immediately qualify for the Grand Finals will compete again in the Play-Ins round to compete for six tickets to the Grand Finals.
