iPhone 15 Pro Max Doesn’t Use 8P Lens and Physical Home Button

Just as the iPhone 14 series was launched last September, rumors surrounding the next iPhone lineup – the iPhone 15 – have started to surface. Reportedly, the iPhone 15 Pro Max and iPhone 15 Pro will not use an 8P camera lens.

Previously, rumors circulated that the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max/ iPhone 15 Ultra series models would come with an upgraded main camera with an 8P lens.

However, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that might not be the case. In his tweet, Kuo said that Apple is unlikely to embed an 8P lens on the iPhone 15 Pro series.

For information, the term 8P refers to eight plastic lenses, which could be an upgrade from the 7P lens on the iPhone 14 Pro model.

The iPhone 15 Pro series was previously rumored to have an 8P lens on the main camera. Next up, the iPhone 15 Pro Max – which could debut as the iPhone 15 Ultra – might get a periscope camera with 10x optical zoom.

This upcoming line of iPhones is also believed to be powered chip The next generation Bionic A17 from Apple. Meanwhile, non-Pro iPhone 15 models can get the A16 Bionic chip.

In addition, the iPhone 15 Pro model is also expected to have 8GB of RAM. In comparison, the iPhone 14 lineup which was launched last September comes packing 6GB of RAM.

Kuo previously also predicted that the iPhone 15 Pro series might not come with physical volume and power buttons. Instead, this phone will use a solid-state button, similar to the design of the home button on the iPhone 7, iPhone 8, iPhone SE 2, and iPhone SE 3.

The iPhone 15 series is expected to debut in the second half or around September 2023. This is according to tradition timeline Apple releases for new iPhone models.
