Cyberpunk 2077 sequel is in the works CD Projekt Red


Cyberpunk 2077 sequel has been confirmed. According to reports, CD Projekt Red is unveiling many new projects, including a sequel to the futuristic role-playing game 2020.

The sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 has the passcode Orion. The project is said to be bringing franchise Cyberpunk is broader, taking advantage of the future universe.

According to CD Projekt Red president and CEO, Adam Kiciński, development for the sequel is still in its early stages and requires further team additions.

To strengthen the development of the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel, CD Projekt Red is expanding with a new studio located in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.


In partnership with the team in Vancouver, the company will establish a North America division to lead all work on the Orion-coded project.

The studio also confirmed a long-term partnership with Epic Games. Future games are now being built using the Unreal Engine.

Like The telephone quote from Gadgets360on Thursday (6/10/2022), the developer previously stated that it would rely on Unreal Engine 5 for The Witcher 4 earlier this year.

“Cyberpunk 2077 recently hit sales of 20 million copies,” Kiciński recalled the new revival the game has enjoyed over the past month.

CD Projekt Red previously confirmed that the Blade Runner-esque action RPG experienced a surge, attracting one million players per day by September 2022.


The success can be partially attributed to the release of the Netflix anime Cyberpunk Edgerunners. Collectively, the studios sold more than 85 million copies of the four game.

Cyberpunk 2077 also has its first major story DLC coming in 2023, with Keanu Reeves reprising his role as Johnny Silverhand.

Titled “Phantom Liberty,” the expansion will be out for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S/X platforms. The game will not be coming to the last generation of consoles. [SN/IF]
