Apple Spreads Invitations to iPhone 14 Launch Event on 7 Septembe
Apple has sent out invitations for the iPhone 14 launch event to be held on September 7 at Campus Apple Park. The event, which will kick off at 10:00 a.m. US time, will be streamed live on Apple’s website and YouTube.
Although Apple did not write down what new products would be launched in the invitations distributed to the media, the main focus would be the launch of the iPhone 14.
As everyone already knows, Apple this year will launch the iPhone 14 Series. According to rumors, Apple will release four models, namely the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Plus (or iPhone 14 Max) which will replace the retired iPhone mini and the trio of standard 6.1-inch iPhone 14, 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro. , and the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max.
The 2022 edition of the iPhone may also come with an updated look with a pill-shaped cut to replace the notch design model used in previous iPhone models.

Apple did reduce the size of the notch on the iPhone 13. But still the size still looks big, even considered the largest of any smartphone. The technology giant from Cupertino seems to have no intention of giving a different design.
But the iPhone 14 will come with a bigger screen fullscreen compared to the previous series. This latest model will feature a screen design with a pill-shaped camera hole in the style of Android phones that are currently circulating.
The new pill-shaped design will reduce visual mass, but still retain all the sensors needed for Face ID to function properly.
Apple will also embed an always-on display feature (always-on display) on two models, iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max. iOS 16 is said to come with support for the always-on screen feature, and there are also updates to the Messages feature, such as the new social network.
As for the innards, the new Apple A16 processor will reportedly only be present exclusively on the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max models. While the standard model will still be powered by the A15 processor as used by the iPhone 13.
Likewise for the camera there is an increase, Apple plans to embed a 48MP camera on the iPhone 14 Pro series, after years of using a 12MP camera in all its smartphone series.
This 48MP camera has the ability to record 8K video. Please note, this high-resolution video will be suitable for viewing on Apple AR/VR devices which will also be released next year.
The 48MP camera of the iPhone 14 Pro will produce images in 48MP and 12MP resolutions, which is known as the process pixel-binning. But interestingly, the 48MP high-resolution mode will be taken automatically when the user is shooting in sunny conditions.

Apart from announcing the latest generation iPhone, Apple is also expected to launch the next generation Apple Watch Series 8. The smartwatch is expected to be available in standard and Pro variants.
The 2022 edition of the Apple Watch will have a bigger screen, a sturdy titanium body, and shatter-resistant glass. The Pro model is also rumored to have a body temperature sensor.
