A successor to the smartphone is currently in the works, and prior to its launch the specifications of the Google Pixel 7A leaked on Twitter.

The Pixel 7A, which was previously rumored to use the camera sensor from the Samsung GN1 with a 50MP resolution found by the developer in the camera configuration, has apparently been removed.

Cuba believes the 50MP sensor used only during testing to evaluate the two new sensors used on mid-ranger.

As such, the two Lynx image sensors are now identified as “l10 wide” (IMX787) and “l10 UW” (IMX712). With the camera array wide and ultrawide on the back of the device, making the Pixel 7A will have a total configuration of two cameras.

Wojciechowski also observes that the Google Pixel 7A will not use the mentioned telephoto lens. The IMX787 sensor is a significant upgrade from the previous IMX363 sensor and could make the Google Pixel 7A a better choice for camera quality in mid-range smartphones.

Moreover, he claims that Samsung will supply a 1080p panel with a 90Hz refresh rate. In comparison, the Pixel 6A has a refresh rate of 60Hz.
