600 GoTo Employees Affected by Layoffs Still Receiving THR
GoTo provides a number of compensations to 600 employees affected by layoffs. One of them is the provision of a Holiday Allowance (THR) which is usually given just before the celebration of Eid al-Fitr.
Through an official statement received on Sunday (12/03/2023), GoTo Group Corporate Secretary, Koesoemohadiani explained that the company will provide maximum compensation, even exceeding labor regulations.
“Employees who are affected will receive support from the company during the transition period, where the support provided will be more than required by applicable laws and regulations, and includes financial, career and welfare support,” he said.
The compensation package includes severance pay and medical benefits which are extended to 30 June 2023.

Affected employees will also be included in the alumni list and are allowed to keep office laptops to support the next job search process. Even GoTo continues to provide THR to hundreds of employees who have been laid off.
Allowances that are usually given to employees ahead of Eid al-Fitr which will occur next month.
“In addition, employees based in Indonesia will receive a Hari Raya Allowance (THR) which is usually paid before Eid al-Fitr,” continued Koesoemohadiani.
It should be noted that GoTo is again laying off employees, and in its policy this time there are 600 employees who are victims.
“These adjustment steps will unfortunately affect around 600 positions within the GoTo ecosystem. Affected employees will receive support from the company during the transition period,” said Koesoemohadiani.
To employees affected by layoffs, GoTo promises to provide more compensation than required by applicable laws and regulations including financial support, career and welfare.

It was also announced that this measure of adjusting the number of employees would not affect the services provided by GoTo to consumers, driver-partners and merchants.
“Each employee has played an important role in GoTo’s journey, and we really appreciate their contribution in building the business and jointly supporting GoTo to achieve the company’s mission,” he concluded.
