1.MS-DOS
The MS-DOS operating system was the forerunner of the Microsoft Windows we know today. MS-DOS itself is an operating system commonly used by IBM-PC computers or compatible with similar devices. This operating system was first developed in 1981 by Bill Gates & Paul Allen.
MS-DOS is single tasking with mode Text and Command–Line. MS-DOS itself began to be abandoned by its owner as the graphical interface-based operating system that we now know as Microsoft Windows was made. MS-DOS itself was officially discontinued in 2000 by Microsoft.
2. Microsoft Windows
Microsoft Windows or Windows is an operating system that is quite popular and dominates computer software around the world. Windows itself is an operating system developed by Microsoft that is based on a graphical user interface (graphical user interface).
Since its first release, Windows has been quite popular because of Microsoft’s graphical applications such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. Until now, Microsoft has issued several new versions of Windows that are more complete and tailored to user needs personal computer.
The first Windows version available on the market was Windows 1.0, released on November 20, 1985. Over time, Windows has grown to become the most popular operating system in the world. At the time of writing, the most recent major version of Windows is Windows 11 which was released in June 2021.
Microsoft has also announced a subscription service program called Windows 365 in August 2021, which will be accessible online cross-platform (accessible by Android and iOS phones). 3. UNIX
Unix is an operating system developed in 1965 with the initial project called Multiplexed Information and Computing Service (Multics). In 1973 the UNIX operating system wasrework using the C programming language by Dennis Ritchie.
The UNIX operating system was later developed by AT and T Bell Laboratories and launched a commercial UNIX operating system called UNIX System V.

4. LINUX
Linux is a more complete development of the UNIX operating system. Linux itself is open sourcewhere users can freely develop or duplicate programs with official licenses from GNU (GNU Not UNIX).
The LINUX operating system was first developed by Linus Torvalds, a student in Finland in 1991. Linux can be used for computer networking, software development and other computer activities. Linux itself is an operating system that is cheaper than commercial operating systems that exist today.

5. Mac OS
The Mac OS Operating System or Macintosh Operating System is the first GUI-based operating system released by Apple Computer in 1984. Apple itself is a computer equipment company that has very advanced and exclusive technology at the beginning of its appearance.
The Mac OS operating system is specifically used for Apple hardware. Overall Mac OS is different from other operating systems. Mac OS is an operating system that does not have a command line (command line) as in other operating systems.

6. Chrome OS
Chrome OS is a relatively new operating system. Chrome OS was released in 2010 which was developed by Google Inc. The Chrome OS operating system itself is based on Linux. Chrome OS works exclusively by relying on the operating system’s web apps.
This operating system can only be operated on hardware specifically designed by the Google company and can be used on Chrome books launched by several well-known netbook brands such as DELL, ASUS, ACER and others.
