The reason Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy is not an overclocked chipset
The Samsung Galaxy S23 Series uses Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy which is chipset specifically with much faster performance than the standard version, but this chip is said to be not a version overclock.
As you know, this chipset has a maximum clock speed of up to 3.36 GHz and has up to 4 performance cores. Meanwhile, the standard version of this chip has a clock speed of up to 3.2 GHz and the chip only has 3 performance cores.
However, Dominikus Susanto revealed that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy is a chipset made specifically for use on the Samsung Galaxy S23 Series, not the overclocked version.

“Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy is a chip made specifically for the S23 Series so that this latest smartphone from Samsung can have the best performance and provide a better experience than the standard version or its predecessors,” Susanto.
“Overclocking is usually the activity of overhauling the chipset so that it can run faster, so that the chipsets in the same series are made faster. However, this chip is not made fast by the smartphone. However, we did design it to have a higher speed,” added Susanto.
On the other hand, he said that this chipset was not only specifically designed to provide fast performance. However, it is designed to have more efficient endurance so that smartphones can be used for quite a long time.

“This chipset also does not just offer fast performance, but has power efficiency which makes the device more energy efficient and of course the battery lasts longer,” said Susanto.
Snapdragon 8 Gen for Galaxy is used on the three S23 Series, be it the standard S23, S23 Plus, up to the S23 Ultra. Not only does it offer fast and economical performance, this chip also supports device cameras to provide the best results, thanks to the latest ISP. [NM/HBS]
