Spotify Accompany Fasting Worship Users Late Ramadan Hub

Welcoming the month of Ramadan 2023, Spotify Indonesia is ready to accompany users’ fasting worship by releasing the Ramadan Hub 2023. A playlist containing podcasts and other interesting content.

Through an official statement received on Thursday (16/3/2023), Gautam Talwar as Managing Director of Spotify APAC said that Ramadan Hub has been around since 2021 and has always received positive responses from users.

According to Spotify’s internal data, there is an increase of 41% in 2022 compared to 2021 in streaming content specifically for Ramadan. As much as 26% of Ramadan streaming tends to occur at 15.00-17.00 WIB, namely during ngabuburit or waiting for the time to break the fast.

“We are proud to be able to bring this extraordinary Ramadan experience to our users to accompany and complement their precious moments during the holy month,” said Gautam Talwar.

The Ramadan Hub 2023 has more diverse content to accompany this year’s Ramadan fasting. The theme and content format consists of daily quotes, music, playlists and podcast content to fill every moment during Ramadan.

Spotify has also launched a series of exclusive content with local artists and podcasters through “Spotify Clips” that inspire listeners on how they celebrate Ramadan on Spotify.

Listeners can listen to songs from local artists such as Afgan, Vidi Aldiano, Raissa Anggiani, Nadin Amizah, Hanin Dhiya as well as podcasters such as RAPOT, Podcast Ancur, PODKESMAS, Kita and Time, and GJLS.

“We’re designing activities on the platform that allow our listeners to take a more active role in discovering content and building meaningful relationships with the artists and podcasters they love on Spotify.”

Not only that, users can also enjoy personalized playlists specifically with the theme of Ramadan, namely Your Ramadan 2023. This playlist is curated by the Music Editorial team and the Spotify algorithm based on the unique preferences of each user.

Starting on March 15 2023, users can purchase a Spotify Premium package for 4 months for 1 month subscription, which is IDR 54,990. Meanwhile, Spotify Premium Mini users can look forward to Mini Rewards from 22 March – 22 April 2023. [NM/HBS]
