Samsung W23 5G and W23 Flip 5G Look Luxury Gold Plated

Samsung W23 5G and W23 Flip 5G launched in China as variants custom luxury from the Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4. The most striking difference is seen from the design side, which is more luxurious with gold plated. What about the specifications?

The Galaxy W23 5G comes as the successor to the W22 5G which was released last year. Samsung has indeed launched a W-series smartphone every year specifically in China, since 2008.

The biggest difference between the Samsung W23 duo and the fourth-generation Galaxy Z Series is in terms of design. Both the Samsung W23 5G and W23 Flip 5G have gold plated edges and hinges.

Samsung says that the W23 duo hinge shell adopts a high-end watch metal precision cutting process and is engraved with nano-grade polishing. The new hinge structure is also said to be thinner and more flexible. The hinge shell also has an embossed metal pattern which makes it look more luxurious.

Both the Samsung W23 and W23 Flip come with a logo in the middle that says ‘Heart to the world’. The base color of this latest W Series model is still the same as last year’s W22 5G, with a Black back panel.

Apart from the design changes, the main specifications of the Samsung W23 5G and W23 Flip 5G still remain the same as the Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4 5G. There is only a small difference in the capacity of RAM and internal storage.

As is known, last August the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4 were launched globally at the Galaxy Unpacked event. Comes with a larger size, the specifications of the Galaxy Z Fold4 are more powerful than the previous generation.

For selfies on the front there is a front camera below the 4MP main screen with aperture f/1.8, and the front camera at cover screen 10MP with aperture f/2.2. This front camera is still the same that is embedded in the Z Fold3 generation.

Connectivity options on the Samsung W23 5G include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ax, Bluetooth v5.2, NFC, Ultra Wideband (UWB), GPS, Glonass, Beidou, Galileo, QZSS and a USB Type-C port.

This folding phone is also equipped with several sensors, such as accelerometer, air pressure sensor, gyro sensor, geomagnetic sensor, hall sensor, light sensor and proximity sensor. The phone also comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for authentication.

Samsung has only released one storage variant for the Chinese market, namely 16GB RAM + 512GB which is priced at CNY 15,999 or Rp. 34 million. This price is more expensive when compared to the price in Indonesia of IDR 27 million.

As for the price of the W23 Flip 5G with one 12GB RAM + 512GB variant, it is priced at CNY 9,999 or the equivalent of Rp. 21 million.
