Samsung Exynos 1380 and 1330 Chipsets Appear on the Bluetooth SIG Site

Chipsets made by Samsung, Exynos 1380 and Exynos 1330 spotted on the Bluetooth SIG certification site. These two new chipsets are likely to be used for mid-range smartphones.

Even though it has been confirmed that all Galaxy S23 Series models are powered by Snapdragon chipsets, it seems that Samsung is still developing its own chipset.

As previously known, Qualcomm has confirmed that all smartphone the Samsung Galaxy S23 series will use a Snapdragon chipset made by Qualcomm around the world.

Even so, the South Korean technology giant does not stop developing Exynos chips, which may be used in several series smartphone non flagship their future creations.

Information from the Bluetooth SIG certification site confirms that Samsung will soon be announcing its two newest Exynos chipsets. The two new Samsung Exynos SoCs spotted on the Bluetooth SIG site are called the Exynos 1380 and Exynos 1330.

If you see the name, these two chipsets are likely chipsets for smartphone middle class. The Exynos 1380 could be the successor to the Exynos 1280 found in the Samsung Galaxy A53, Galaxy A33 and Galaxy M33. Meanwhile, the Exynos 1330 chipset is the successor to the Exynos 850 or Exynos 880.

According to the specifications list on the Bluetooth SIG, both chipsets will support Bluetooth 5.3. This support will probably be via a separate RF chip called the Samsung Bluetooth Controller v6.

The Exynos 1380 is claimed to be able to feature at least two high-performance CPU cores from the ARM Cortex-A series. The chip may also use the ARM Mali-G615 GPU image processing system and will also provide integrated 5G modem connectivity.

The Exynos 1380 chipset seems to be embedded in the A Series phones, namely the latest Samsung Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A34. Apart from that, it is also possible that this chipset is used in other mid-range phones, such as the Galaxy M or Galaxy F series. [FY/HBS]
