Samsung 990 PRO SSD Coming Soon for Gamers, More Powerful
Samsung launched its newest SSD which was presented specifically for gamers under the name Samsung 990 PRO. This device is claimed to have an extraordinary performance increase.
The latest Samsung SSDs are connected via PCIe 4.0. The choice may come as a surprise considering that PCIe 5.0 is near to release.
It should be noted, however, that these interfaces are often not a bottleneck for storage devices in real-world conditions.
The company claims the new SSD can hit 7450 MBps and 6900 MBps at around ~1500K IOPS or 50 percent better than the 980 PRO SSD.
