Official! Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4 Enter Indonesia
After conducting a pre-order (PO) period since August 2022, Samsung Electronics Indonesia has finally released the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4 to the Indonesian market.
According to the Head of Mobile Experience Business, Samsung Electronics Indonesia Lo Khing Seng, these two smartphones offer various improvements from the previous series.
“This smartphone is the fourth generation of the Z Fold and Z Flip generations, which have been greatly improved so as to offer the maximum experience to users,” said Khing Seng.
The improvements made are seen in terms of cameras, where the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 5G and Galaxy Z Flip4 5G are improvements from the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip3 series, and are rich in features.
“Galaxy Z Fold4 5G and Galaxy Z Flip4 5G have capable camera performance and are much smarter,” he continued at the launch event on Thursday (1/9/2022).
In addition, the two latest Samsung cellphones have IPX8 certificates, so they are water and dust resistant.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 is the first smartphone to run on One UI 4.1.1 based on Android 12L, a special version of Android created by Google for large-screen experiences, including foldable devices.
The main screen specifications use a 7.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex Display. This screen has a QXGA+ (2.176×1,812 pixels) LTPO resolution and an aspect ratio of 21.6:18, with refresh rate adaptive from as low as 1Hz to 120Hz.
While for the secondary screen when in a folded position (cover screen) uses a 6.2-inch (904×2,316 pixels) HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display with refresh rate adaptive up to 120Hz and 23.1:9 aspect ratio.
The kitchen is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, which is claimed to be 10 percent more powerful than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset used by the Galaxy S22 Series.
The chipset is combined with 12GB RAM (LPDDR5) with three UFS 3.1 storage media options, each with a capacity of 256GB, 512GB, and 1 TB, which is the largest internal storage present in the Galaxy Z Fold series.
The battery capacity is still the same as the previous series, 4,400 mAh by carrying fast charging technology with a 25 watt cable, and fast charging cordless (PowerShare) 15 watts. This phone is claimed to be able to charge up to 50 percent in just 30 minutes.
For photos and videos, the Galaxy Z Fold4 has a total of five cameras, namely one in the cover displayone main display (main screen), and three cameras on the back panel.
Three cameras on the back with a 50MP main camera configuration with f/1.8 aperture, which features dual-pixel autofocus, optical image stabilisation (OIS), and has a field of view of 85 degrees.
Still on the back, there is also a 12MP ultrawide camera (f/2.2 lens aperture) with a 123-degree field of view. And the third is a 10MP telephoto camera with an aperture of f/2.4, and it supports optical zoom up to 3x and SpaceZoom up to 30x assisted by AI Super Resolution and OIS technology.
Then the front camera under the main screen of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 has a 4MP sensor with an aperture of f/1.8, and the front camera is on cover screen has a 10MP sensor with f/2.2 lens aperture. The front camera is still the same that is embedded in the Z Fold3.
For connectivity options, this phone is equipped with 5G technology, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth v5.2, and a USB Type-C port. This folding phone has dimensions of 155.1 x 130.1 x 6.3 mm and weighs 263 grams (lighter than the Galaxy Z Fold3 which weighs 271 grams).

Specifications The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 5G runs on Android 12 with OneUI 4.1.1 on top. The phone has a 6.7-inch (1,080×2,640 pixels) full-HD+ main screen, Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex Display, and supports 120Hz adaptive refresh rate technology with an aspect ratio of 22:9.
While the secondary screen size (cover display) is similar to last year’s model, with a 1.9-inch Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 260 x 512 pixels.
Function cover screen on the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 5G extended and supports the feature of replying to messages with emojis or short sentences. Then more Quick Settings features (WiFi, Bluetooth, etc.), and supports Face Unlock biometric features.
As for the kitchen runway, the specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 5G are powered by the octa-core 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, which is paired with 8GB of RAM. This folding phone is available in three memory variants with up to 512 GB of internal storage.
Samsung provided an increase in battery capacity, which now uses a 3,700 mAh battery from the previous 3,300 mAh, and already supports 25W fast charging.
