Official! Asus ROG Phone 6 Specifications and Prices in Indonesia

Asus has finally re-released the latest ROG series smartphone, specifically ROG Phone 6. A premium gaming smartphone with tough specifications and various supporting features for gaming activities.

Through a launch event broadcast by the Asus ROG Indonesia YouTube account on Wednesday (21/9/2022), Asus Indonesia Country Marketing Manager, Davina Larissa explained that more than 100 million gamers currently playing using smartphone.

“There are more than 100 million mobile gamers starting from players who fill their spare time to pro players, so from here we can see the great enthusiasm of the smartphone gaming line,” said Davina.

Therefore, Asus Indonesia introduced the Asus ROG Phone 6 to the Indonesian market which offers improved specifications and features compared to the previous ROG Phone series.

“The best gaming smartphone for Indonesian gamers is here for the winners, because it is reinforced by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor which has a very impressive performance,” continued Davina.

Asus ROG Phone 6 is here in Indonesia with dimensions of 173 x 77 x 10.3 mm and a weight of 239 grams. The color choices are divided into two options namely Phantom Black and Storm White. The smartphone body is covered by Gorilla Glass Victus on the front, Gorilla Glass 3 on the back, and the frame is made of aluminum.

According to Country Product Manager Asus Global, Marcia Sung’s ROG Phone 6 body also has IPX4 certification, and has a glowing ROG logo and ultrasonic sensors for AirTrigger 6 and grip press.

“With IPX4 certification, you don’t have to worry about bad weather, so you can enjoy playing games anywhere,” said Marcia.

Next, Asus’ latest cellphone uses a 6.78-inch full-HD + (1,080×2,448 pixels) Samsung AMOLED screen with a speed of refresh rate up to 165Hz with touch sampling rate 720Hz. Temporary respons time 1 md, touch latency 23 ms, as well as HDR10+ support, and peak brightness up to 1200 nits.

For the record, even though it already supports a very high refresh rate of up to 165Hz, Asus offers an adaptive refresh rate, so users can change refresh rate to 60Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz, or 144Hz.

“So that the quality is ensured to be the best of the best and ensure that the ROG Phone 6 screen has the fastest and sharpest display,” he claimed.

The ROG Phone 6 specifications from the kitchen side are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, which is paired with the Adreno 730 GPU. The chipset capabilities are supported by 8GB, 12GB and 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage space 256GB and 512GB.

The kitchen spur is also supported by a strong battery capacity. Just like the ROG Phone 5S Series, where ROG Phone 6 also uses a 6,000 mAh battery with 65W fast charging technology.

For photography capabilities, this latest Asus cellphone has three rear cameras, with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 main camera composition, a 13-megapixel ultrawide camera with a 125-degree field of view, and a 5-megapixel macro camera. While on the front there is a 12 megapixel camera for selfies and selfies video call.

Asus ROG Phone 6 also has features to support gaming activities. An example is the GameCool 6 cooling system. The company says this is the biggest update to the cooling system since the introduction of the ROG Phone series.

Asus has also brought a redesigned 360-degree CPU cooling system that is more efficient at dissipating heat. Asus claims that its performance is increased to 10 degrees Celsius.

Other features include an accelerometer, e-compass, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, under-display fingerprint sensor and gyroscope.

Asus has also prepared accessories, such as the AeroActive Cooler 6 which offers an integrated Thermoelectric AI Cooling System to significantly lower the temperature of the phone. This optional accessory is cord-free and runs on power from the phone’s battery.

There’s also an ROG Kunai 3 Gamepad, an expansion dock, and an ROG Clip for connecting your phone to a PS4, Xbox, or Stadia controller with an adjustable arm.

Harga ROG Phone 6

Asus ROG Phone 6 is sold in Indonesia with prices starting from Rp. 10,999,000 for 8 GB RAM and 256 GB memory. As for the 12 GB RAM and 256 GB memory, as well as 18 GB and 512 GB RAM, the prices are Rp. 13,999,000 and Rp. 18,999,000.

For those who are interested, Asus opens pre-orders for ROG Phone 6 starting from September 21, 2022 to October 31, 2022. Pre-orders can be made at Erafone, Asus Store, ROG Store and JD.ID.

The plan is that these three products will only be available on the market starting mid-October 2022.

Meanwhile, the price of ROG Phone 6 accessories such as AeroActive Cooler 6 and ROG Kunai 3 Gamepad is Rp. 999,000 and Rp. 1,499,000. Then for the Glass Screen Protector the price is around Rp. 399,000. [NM/HBS]
