Redmi A1 Officially Launched, Prices Start at IDR 1.2 Million
Redmi A1 officially launched in Indonesia. This mobile phone with a high TKDN targets all consumer segments because of its affordable price starting from IDR 1.2 million.
Through an official statement received on Friday (10/28/2022), Director of Xiaomi Technology Indonesia Manish Dang explained that the Redmi A1 will be able to answer the daily needs of its users, such as running chat applications, social media, the internet, and taking pictures.
“Redmi A1 is here in Indonesia to provide access for all levels of society in accessing technology that can affect their daily lives for the better,” said Manish Dang.
In addition, Redmi A1 is also listed as a 4G smartphone that has the highest domestic content (TKDN) level at launch, which is 40.3%. This high TKDN received appreciation from the Minister of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita.

According to Agus Gumiwang, the achievement of a high TKDN is in line with the Ministry of Industry’s policy so that industry players can manufacture and develop their products in Indonesia.
“In the future, we hope that industry players will also start implementing aspects of research and development carried out in Indonesia,” said Minister Agus Gumiwang.
Not only the high TKDN value, the Xiaomi Redmi A1 also comes with a special Indonesian-themed box design by Sigit Setyo Nugroho who is a Xiaomi fan.
Specifications of Xiaomi Redmi A1
Redmi A1 comes with a large capacity 5000mAh battery that allows users to stay active all day without running out of power. This latest Xiaomi cellphone supports 10W Fast Charging.
Redmi A1 is equipped with Android 12 Go Edition OS and Mediatek MT6761 Helio A22 chipset. RAM is divided into 2 options, namely 2 GB and 3 GB, each of which is supported by RAM expansion technology up to 3 GB. While the memory is 32 GB which can be increased up to 1 TB, using a microSD.
For cameras, Redmi A1 uses an 8 MP and 0.08 MP QVGA main camera which is supported by AI technology. On the front there is a camera that uses a 5 MP lens. The Redmi A1 screen uses a 6.52-inch Drop Dot Display panel that is capable of producing HD + quality images, with an aspect ratio of 20:9.
The price of the Redmi A1 is Rp. 1,149,000 for 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of memory. Then for 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of memory, the price is Rp. 1,249,000 with a choice of Black and Light Blue colors.
