Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 specifications leak, 5G support and fast charging?
Qualcomm will launch the latest chipset, namely Snapdragon 6 Gen 1. Reportedly this latest chipset supports fast charging and 5G cellphones.
Please note that in recent years Qualcomm has launched 3 chipsets based on 4nm fabrication, namely Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, and Snapdragon 7 Gen 1.
But according to information from Evan Blass, Qualcomm will bring the latest series with a similar fabrication. The man who often leaks information about the technology, said that the chipset in question is called Snapdragon 6 Gen 1.
Not just leaking the name, Blass even leaked the full specification sheet of the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC. From this sheet it is known that the chip is fabricated at 4nm and has the part number SM6450.
Quoted The telephone from GSM Arena on Sunday (28/8/2022), the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC also supports 5G networks and Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 4+ technology. The chipset consists of a Kryo CPU clocked at up to 2.2GHz, but the number of cores in the CPU is unknown.

This chip can be combined for smartphone screens with resolutions up to Full HD + and a screen refresh rate of 120Hz. As for camera support, the chipset can be used for a 108 MP resolution camera, 4K HDR video recording at 30 FPS and slow-mo video at 240 FPS.
Judging from the specifications, Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 will support mid-range smartphones that support 5G networks. The reason is that along with the development of the 5G network, many smartphone vendors are releasing 5G cellphones for middle-class and even entry-level consumers.
Although the specifications leaked by Evan Blass are quite complete, keep in mind that this is not information from Qualcomm. Moreover, Qualcomm itself has not yet provided information about the chipset.
