Sony FX30 Camera Launched, Perfect for Beginner Film Makers
Sony Indonesia officially launched the latest Cinema Line FX30 Camera and Sony Cinema Line FX30B Camera. Both of these devices come with various professional features so that they are suitable for use by professionals film maker beginners and content creators.
Through an official statement received on Saturday (10/22/2022), President Director of PT Sony Indonesia, Koji Sekiguchi explained that the Sony FX30 Camera and FX30B Camera are cameras that can meet user needs.
Especially for those who are just starting to make movies or video content, who need a full-featured camera.
“This camera is the entry model of the Cinema Line series, which is suitable for film maker beginners, content creators and videographers because it has a variety of professional features from Cinema Line at a more affordable price,” said Koji.

The Sony FX30 Camera and FX30B Camera are equipped with Sony’s fast and reliable autofocus feature. This feature has several settings such as Real-time Eye AF, Real-time Tracking, Detailed AF Settings and AF Assist 6.
There is also a focus Map 7 feature that makes it easy to visualize the depth of field, as well as a Breathing Compensation 8 feature that offers a stable angle of view when focusing. This camera also has effective stabilization thanks to the Active Mode 9 feature.
In addition to full features, the Sony FX30 Camera and FX30B Camera are equipped with the latest 20.1 MP back-illuminated APS-C Exmor R™ CMOS (Super 35 format) sensor. The sensor has dual base ISO, namely ISO 800 and 2500 to provide high sensitivity.
This camera can also record 4K Super 35 with 16:9 recording mode, so it is capable of performing oversampling from 6K to 60fps. This camera’s capabilities include recording at high frame rates, including 4K at 120fps and full HD at 240fps.
Like the rest of the Cinema Line, both the FX30 and FX30B have a Log shooting mode by enabling Cine El, Cine El Quick, and Flexible ISO modes for recording with the S-Log3 gamma curve.

These three modes allow more flexibility when performing color gradingand video recording while monitoring with LUT, which is suitable for previewing the final image.
In addition, the FX30 and FX30B are equipped with a choice of built-in cinematic displays, such as the Sony S-Cinetone and can take single photos. Both cameras offer advanced image processing capabilities with the BIONZ XR processing engine for natural gradations and realistic color reproduction.
The Sony FX30 Camera and FX30B are compact and lightweight cameras, featuring a flat top design with accessory mounting points.
This compact and light weight helps users to take pictures with
hand or handheld, taking pictures from a low angle, mounting on a gimbal,
or add accessories.
There’s also an XLR 13 grip unit, which can be used for shooting from low angles and two XLR audio inputs and a 3.5mm stereo mini jack for 4-channel recording.
The FX30 and FX30B have two memory card slots compatible with CFexpress cards
Type A and SDXC/SDHC cards, bringing you a shooting experience
free for creators.
The FX30 and FX30B will be available in Indonesia in November 2022. The price is Rp. 33,999,000 for the Sony FX30 Camera and Rp. 27,999,000 for the Sony FX30B Camera.
